It took a long time to cook & I thought we had done it wrong because the shellls were still hard….. but I was so wrong !!
I put more water in them the next day and reheated for a couple of hours. They were perfect and still salty enough.

This has got to be the easiest, and most delicious way to experience boiled peanuts at home! I’ve been on a boiled peanut kick for months and have been buying them from a vendor every weekend. However, my habit was starting to get expensive, so I decided to start cooking them myself. When I came across these, I was a little skeptical…I’m a southern girl, and I’m pretty particular about my boiled peanut flavor. I thought I would definitely need to doctor these up. However, much to my surprise, the seasoning was spot on!
Since I’m inpatient, I tried the instapot method, instead of the crockpot method. It seriously couldn’t have been easier. Talk about set it, and forget it…6 hours later (4 hours of cooking + 2 hours of depressurizing), I took the lid off the instapot, cut open the bag and the peanuts were delicious…and tender! No extra seasoning required! Take it from this southern girl…buy them!

My parents were from Newberry SC and I grew up on boiled peanuts. It has always been a special treat for us and if any of us see green peanuts for sale they are automatically bought and boiled. The salty juice is a favorite part. Especially for my dad that is now deceased. When I saw these advertised I had to try them. Had to add just a little more salt for me but other than that I am so pleased. The juice is perfect and I wish my dad was here to try these. Too much said but I will be a repeat customer.

We live in the Deep South of Lousiana, called Cajuns. We don’t get to have boiled peanuts unless when we travel East to Mississippi and Alabama.
